No. 8 Ranked P.G. Owls Down Seahawks 9-0

The Cecil College men's soccer team dropped their third contest in a row on Friday, September 15 against the eighth-ranked Owls of Prince George's Community College. These three losses are part of the Seahawk's five-game away stand that will continue on September 19 at Chesapeake College and September 22 at Frederick Community College.

The Owls opened up scoring early in the game with a goal off a right corner kick just 1:03 into the game. Unable to find a rhythm on the offensive or defensive side of the game, the Seahawks let up three more goals before the half, giving the Owls a comfortable 4-0 lead with one half to play. Prince George's Community College tallied 15 shots in the first half, compared to the Seahawk's lone shot.

Keeping their game consistent, the Owls fired 14 shots in the second half, scoring on five of them. Prince George's out shot the Seahawks 29-1 throughout 90 minutes of play to secure their 9-0 victory over Cecil College.

Seahawks' freshman goal keeper Justin Gutierrez recorded nine saves in almost 72:00 minutes of play, while freshman defender Benjamin Duffy tallied their only shot for the duration of the game.

Cecil College men's soccer returns to action on the road on Tuesday, September 19 at Chesapeake College with hopes of snapping their three-game losing streak. Kick off between the Seahawks and Skipjacks is set for 4:00 p.m.
