Mr. Ed Durham is entering his 14th year as the Director of Athletics at Cecil College. Ed earned his undergraduate degree from Wilmington University, while being recognized as an All-Region and All-District student-athlete in baseball. Ed continued his education at Wilmington University to earn a Master's of Education degree in School Counseling. Ed is currently involved as the NJCAA Region XX Assistant Men's Director.

In addition to his administrative duties, Ed will enter his 4th year as the Head Men's Basketball Coach and previously served as the Head Softball coach for 5 seasons, ending his career with a record of 124-87. During his time coaching, the women's softball team made 4 playoff appearances, were named Region Runner-Up in 2009, and Region Champions and National Tournament participants in 2010 and 2011. The softball program produced 14 All-Region selections, 3 Academic All-American, 1 All-American during those 5 years.

Ed's current record with the Men's Basketball team is 68-53, after making playoff appearances back-to-back in the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Men's basketball finished the 2016 season as Region Champions and competed in the National Tournament. They will look to build this upcoming winter off last year's status of Region Tournament Runner-Up. The men's basketball program produced 5 All-Region selections in the past two years.

Ed currently resides in Middletown, De. with his wife, MaryBeth, and four children. Together they have three daughters (Erann, Courtney, and Rachel) and one son (Zachary).
