Seahawks Outlast Titans to Open Cecil Mixer
NORTH EAST - Cecil College men's basketball picked up a 90-82 decision over the County College of Morris Titans on Saturday afternoon.
Jaiden Guy headlined Cecil's effort with 23 points and eight assists. He was flanked by a pair of 14 point showings from Javon Jenkins and Darrien Berrios Rivera. Both players finished 4-for-5 from three, with six of their eight makes coming in the second half.
The win improves the Seahawks to 5-1 on the year.
Turning Point
A critical three-point play from Ezra Tull pushed Cecil's lead to six heading into the break. Sophomore guard Shaun Chandler drove the paint and found a crashing Tull, who sank the layup while being fouled from behind. The freshman forward sank the free throw to give the Seahawks momentum just before half.
