ROCHESTER - A team effort produced a winning result for Cecil on Sunday afternoon, as the Seahawks took down Jamestown 75-71 to end their stint at the Murph Shapiro Classic.
The Seahawks finished with four players in double figures, including a double-double from Deuce Bevins II (18 points, 10 rebounds). Marcus Edmond poured in 15 points, while Jaiden Guy had 14 points and eight boards. The two also had four assists each.
Turning Point
Trailing by seven with 4:15 to go in the first, Cecil's offense would go off on an 18-4 run in the final minutes. This handed the Seahawks a 41-34 lead heading the break. The Jayhawks never fully recovered and lagged behind the rest of the game.
