Seahawks Conquer Catamounts in Regular Season Finale

KEYSER, W.V. - Cecil picked up a road victory in their regular season finale on Thursday, downing Potomac State 96-76.

The Seahawks were powered by 21 points from Jordan Strickland and Vernon Simmons. Strickland registered 15 of his 21 in the first half, while Simmons dropped 16 in the second half.

Cecil led by six in the first half, then expanded it to 20 over the last half of play. The Seahawks depth played a major role, outscoring Catamount reserves 40-8.

The win promotes the Seahawks to 19-11 on the season and a 9-2 mark in Region 20 Division II play.

Turning Point

A quick layup to begin the half served as the the only field goal for the Catamounts until the 14:05 mark in the second. During that stretch, Cecil picked up 17 points while holding Potomac State 0-for-8 from the floor.
