BRYN MAWR, Pa. - Cecil men's basketball gave NJCAA Division I #22 Harcum a scare on Saturday evening, as the Bears narrowly escaped the Seahawks by six points.

Despite Cecil outshooting Harcum for the game, the Bears were able to counter with 28 makes on 41 free throw attempts. The Seahawks lagged behind in this department (13-for-21), ultimately costing them the contest.

Leading Cecil's offense was sophomore Vernon Simmons, who torched Harcum for 29 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Marlon Lewis joined him with a double-double of his own (16 points, 10 rebounds).
