Seahawks Fall to No. 5 Sullivan

NORTH EAST, Md. - The fifth-ranked Sullivan Generals knocked off the Seahawks in the final game of the Cecil Holiday Classic, ousting the home team 84-71.

After his big shot earned Cecil a win on Friday evening, Dominick Carrington led the Seahawks with 30 points on 12-of-21 shooting. Carrington did not receive much help from his teammates, with the next highest scorer for the Seahawks tallying just eight (Vernon Simmons).

On the other side of the floor, Cecil was able to limit Sullivan's top scorer Jay Alvarez to just 10 points. The Generals managed to pick him up with 30 points from Jair Curry and 20 via Cameron Gallon.

The Seahawks end the fall semester with an 8-6 record.

Turning Point

Sullivan stormed out of the gates with a 7-0 run and forced an early timeout from the Cecil bench at the 18:21 mark. The break did not alter much, as the Generals would outscore the Seahawks 13-6 over the next four minutes. Cecil pulled within four points midway through the first, but the Generals halted their momentum with another long run.
