Cardinals Edge Cecil to Snap Win Streak

BALTIMORE, MD. - Cecil's three-game win streak came to a surprising end on Wednesday night, as the Seahawks fell 75-71 to the CCBC-Catonsville Cardinals on the road.

The Cardinals came into the contest with a 3-7 record and had suffered defeat in four of their last five contests. Cecil looked the better team early on and lead by 11 points at the break, but Catonsville outscored them 42-27 in the second half.

Dominick Carrington led the Seahawks on offense with 17 points. Marlon Lewis finished with a double-double consisting of 14 points and 11 rebounds. 

Cecil falls to 6-4 (2-1 MD JUCO) after the loss.

Turning Point

Cecil went 1-for-15 from three in the second half while also missing six of its 10 free throws. On the contrary, the Cardinals knocked down three of their nine shots from deep and hit 13-of-21 of their attempts from the charity stripe.
