Seahawks Trump Titans, 84-74

NORTH EAST, Md. - Cecil captured its third straight win and sixth in their last seven games with a 10-point victory over the Beaver County Titans on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman forward and Rising Sun grad Luke Moore led the Seahawks offense with a career high 19 points. Sophomore's Frank Toney and Vernon Simmons contributed 14 points, with Simmons leading the team on the glass with eight boards.

Cecil moves to 6-4 overall and 2-0 in Region 20 after today's result.

Turning Point

Beaver County's layup with 2:20 left in the second shrank Cecil's lead down to six, but it was the last basket the Titans made outside of two late free throws. Frank Toney and Jordan Strickland proceeded to put away their Region 20 foe for good with a pair of makes from beyond the arc in the final 90 seconds of the game.
