NORTH EAST, Md. - Six players scored 10 or more points for the Seahawks, as Cecil men's basketball sliced through the Baltimore City Panthers 108-88.
The Seahawks led by as many as 29 points in the second half. They shot 57% from the floor, including a 75% mark (27-for-36) in the final 20 minutes. Zach Carter led Cecil with 16 points, while Dominick Carrington slotted in right behind with 15.
Sophomore forward Jordan Strickland led the Seahawks on the boards with his second 10-point, 10-rebound double-double of the year. Marlon Lewis finished one rebound shy of a double-double and chipped in 11 points.
Cecil pulls itself back even (4-4) on the season, while earning its first Maryland JUCO Conference victory of the year.
Turning Point
Out of a Baltimore City timeout at the 16:18 mark in the second half, the Seahawks reeled off a 15-5 run to put the game out of reach. Marlon Lewis led the way with seven points during this stretch.
