Seahawks Crack Top 10 With 11th Straight Win Over CSM

The Cecil College men's basketball improved their record to 13-1 on the season on Saturday after defeating College of Southern Maryland 106-86. With their 11th win in a row, the Seahawks cracked the Top 10 in the NJCAA DII men's basketball national rankings, coming in at the 9th spot.

The Hawks were led by Melvin Davis with a team high 19 points while adding 3 rebounds. Shawn Barclay added 14 points and 7 rebounds for the Hawks.

Sophomore guard Hassan Corbin contributed for the Seahawks with a team high 18 points and 9 rebounds. Sophomore forward Khalid Gates also had a team high 18 points and added 6 rebounds in the win. Freshman guard Dominick Carrington added 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in the game for the Seahawks.

Cecil College men's basketball team looks to extend their winning streak to twelve games when they travel to play Anne Arundel Community College on Wednesday, January 19th. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
