The Cecil College men's basketball extended their winning streak to three games on the season Saturday defeating Mercer County Community College 83-54. The Seahawks went into half with a 43-25 lead and kept their lead growing in the second half.
The Vikings were led by Nyzhir Brown with a team high 16 points while adding 2 rebounds. Gavin Shiver added 13 points and 2 steals for the Vikings.
Sophomore guard Darell Johnson played a key role for the Seahawks adding 17 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. Sophomore forward Khalid Gates recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman guard Dominick Carrington contributed with 14 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals in the game.
Cecil College men's basketball team looks to keep their winning streak alive when they host Niagara County Community College on Saturday, December 11th. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
