Student-Athlete Spotlight: McKale Williams, Men's Basketball

Learn more about McKale Williams, in the latest issue of Student-Athlete Spotlight. McKale currently resides in Middletown, De. with his family but is originally from Aurora, Colorado and was a 2017 graduate of Highlands Ranch High School. McKale was a member of 2019 Region XX DII Championship team that placed 3rd in the national tournament, helped his team to a 23-7 record during the 2020 season, and finished his career as the squad's most effective three-point shooter. He was also named to the NJCAA All-Academic First team for boasting a perfect 4.0 GPA as a freshman and was honored as the scholarship breakfast's keynote speaker.

What is your favorite course you are enrolled in this semester & why?

Human Diversity with Wayne Beckles... I've been able to see and realize different points of view and perspectives from different ethnic backgrounds and cultures. I also like how I am able to voice my opinion on different topics with no judgement.

What is your favorite pump-up song or music?

My favorite pump up song is "Indigo" by Chris Brown.

What is your favorite movie about sports & why?

"Like Mike" is my favorite movie about sports because it's just a kid living the NBA life. That's basically every kid's dream.

If you were stranded on an island, which one of your teammates would you want with you & why?

I would choose Hassan Corbin because him and I think alike and he could definitely survive in the wild.

What would you eat for your last meal?

I would have fried chicken, macaroni & cheese, stove top stuffing, and apple pie for dessert.

What is one thing you do to prepare for a game, match, or meet?

I make sure I can have some alone time and listen to music and just be in my own thoughts.

If you could have one super power, what would it be & why?

I would want to be able to teleport because I could travel all over the world and also be able to see my bros in Colorado whenever I wanted and very easily.

What is your dream occupation & why?

Be a sports commentator for ESPN. I like talking about sports and compariting analytics and sharing my own thoughts.
