  • NJCAA Announces 2018-2019 All-Academic Honors

    On, July 2, 2019 the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced a new record of 6,656 student-athletes that earned a spot on one of the three NJCAA All-Academic teams, surpassing last year's total of 6,329 student-athletes.
  • Sophomore Basketball Stars Continue Academic and Athletic Careers at NAIA Level

    Three sophomore members of Cecil College's men's basketball team, who finished third in the NJCAA DII National Tournament in Danville, Illinois, signed their Letter of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at NAIA-sponsored four year insititutions.

  • Cecil College Athletics Celebrates Inaugural Hall of Fame Inductees

    Cecil College held its inaugural Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday, March 30, with seven of the institution’s icons recognized. The Class of 2019 included pioneers who all had a hand in the creation, development, and growth of the Cecil athletic programs. The members of the inaugural class are Charles “Dick” Brockell (posthumously), William Lewit, Mary Maloney, Mary Etta Reedy, Dr. Thomas Topping, Shirley Weaver, and Thomas Wilhide.
  • Corbin, Falko, and Thompson Earn NJCAA All-Region XX Recognition

    Cecil College basketball players Cornell Corbin, Jacob Falko, and Kayla Thompson earned NJCAA All-Region XX recognition for their outstanding performance in the region for the 2018-2019 season.
  • Cecil College Men's Basketball Finishes Third at NJCAA DII National Tournament

    Cecil College men's basketball finished third out of sixteen teams that qualified for the NJCAA DII National Tournament, hosted by Danville Area Community College, in Danville, Illinois. The Seahawks upset the #3, #11, and #4-seeded teams to finished their season with an overall record of 24-12.
  • Seahawks Earn 2019 NJCAA Region XX DII Title

    The Cecil College men's basketball team earned the title of NJCAA Region XX DII Champions after their upset 91-73 win over #1 seeded Potomac State College of WVU. The region tournament victory qualifies the Seahawks for the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in Danville, Illinois.
  • Corbin, Falko Earn All-Conference Recognition

    Sophomore guard Cornell Corbin and freshman guard Jacob Falko were recongized by the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference for their outstanding performance this season. Corbin was named MD JUCO Defensive Player of the Year, as well as being named to the Second Team. Falko joins his teammate as an All-MD JUCO Second Team selection.

    Join Cecil College Athletics by wearing orange during the day and in the stands on Wednesday, January 30 to represent and raise awareness for hunger issues on our campus and in our community. Admission is free to the home basketball matches with a non-perishable food item or monetary donation to the Student Food Pantry at one of our ticket selling tables.
  • Seahawks Hold Off Lakers' Comeback At Buzzer

    Cecil College men's basketball held off a comeback attempt by the Lakers of Garrett College to secure an 86-84 conference and NJCAA Region XX DII victory. The Seahawks have now won eight of their last nine contests to improve to 10-9 overall and 5-5 in MD JUCO.

    Cecil College men's basketball handed conference rivals, the Fighting Owls of Harford Community College, their first loss in MD JUCO in a thrilling overtime battle. The Seahawks improved to 7-9 overall and picked up their second conference win (2-5).

    After a rough start to their season, Cecil College men's basketball picked up their first conference victory of the season over Chesapeake College for their fourth straight victory on their home court. The Seahawks improve to 6-8 overall and 1-4 in MD JUCO play.

    A career-high 29 points, including six made shots from beyond the arc, from freshman guard McKale Williams helped the Seahawks win their third straight contest over the Falcons of Lackawanna College on Wednesday. This was Cecil men's basketball's last contest before winter break when they return to their home court on Saturday, January 5.
  • Seahawks Snap 8-Game Losing Streak

    Cecil College men's basketball snapped their eight-game losing streak with two wins as the host of the Cecil College Holiday Tournament over the weekend. The Seahawks were victorious in two close matches against Monroe Community College (Rochester, Ny.) and Cuyahoga Community College (Cleveland, Oh.).

    The Catamounts of Potomac State College of WVU kept their perfect start to the season alive after narrowly defeating Cecil College on the Seahawks' home court. The Seahawks have now lost their last five matches and fall to 2-6 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

    Cecil College men's basketball suffered their fourth straight loss on Wednesday against MD JUCO rival Allegany College of Maryland. The Seahawks fall to 2-5 overall and winless in the conference standings through the month of November.
  • Men's Basketball Wins Big in Home Opener

    Cecil College men's basketball crusied past Delaware Technical Community College, by a 41-point margin, in their home opener of the 2018-2019 season. The Seahawks improved to 2-1 overall as they prepare for two more competitive non-region and non-conference match ups at the Murph Sharipo Classic hosted by Monroe Community College in Rochester, Ny.
  • Seahawks Split in Opener at CCBC Dundalk

    Cecil College men's basketball came away from their opening weekend with 1-1 to start their season at the CCBC Dundalk Mixer. The Seahawks defeated the Bobcats of Bryant & Stratton College (Va.) on Friday by a score of 86-78 and lost to the Avengers of ASA College (Ny.) by a 5-point margin.

    The Cecil College Athletics Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for its inaugural 2019 class inductees. The deadline for submissions is Friday, Dec. 21, at 4 p.m. The purpose of the Cecil College Athletics Hall of Fame is to honor individuals who, through participation, support or interest, have made outstanding contributions to or brought recognition to the athletic programs at Cecil College.

  • Student-Athlete Spotlight: Carl Bradley

    Learn more about Carl Bradley in the latest Student-Athlete Spotlight. Bradley, a native of Baltimore, Maryland and a 2016 graduate of Dundalk High School, is entering his sophomore season as a forward on the Cecil College men's basketball team. In his first season as a Seahawk, Bradley started and played in all 33 contests while totaling 184 points in the 2017-2018 season. Bradley averaged 5.6 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game.
