Balanced scoring from the Seahawks men's basketball team fueld an 87-66 victory over the Skipjacks of Chesapeake College, helping to extend their current win streak to three games in a row. Cecil College restored their even overall record and improved to 6-3 in the conference, maintaining their standing in the fifth spot.

Two Seahawks posted double-doubles in the points and rebounds categories while a total of nine players contributed to scoring. Freshman guard Cornell Corbin continued his hot streak with 25 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists while sophomore guard Jordan Griggs added 24 points, two assists, and a steal. Corbin has averaged 16 points in the Seahawks' last four contests, including three wins.

Sophomore guard Greg Alexander came off the bench to tally twenty points, helping the trio of twenty-plus scorers in the victory of Chesapeake to shoot a combined 26-40 from the floor, 5-8 from beyond the arc, and 14-17 from the free throw line. Other scores for Seahawks included Lionel Batson, Keyon Givens, Kamden Stubblefield, Caleb Johnson, and Jonathon Falko.

"I think this was our best team win so far this season," said head Coach Ed Durham. "We had starters and players come off the bench and really step up. Corey [Cornell Corbin] has been playing really well and we needed this win for our progression the rest of the season."

Cecil College returns to action on Wednesday, January 23 at home to face the Pathers of Baltimore City Community College. Tip off for the men's game is set for 7:00 p.m.
