Falko's Career-High Helps Seahawks Top Lions

A career-high 26 points from freshman guard Jonathon Falko helped the Seahawks top the Lions of CCBC Dundalk by a score of 74-65 and improve to 8-9 overall and 5-3 in MD JUCO action. After the victory, the Seahawks currently occupy the fifth spot in the conference standings of fifteen teams.

The Seahawks started the contest slow and found themselves in a 7-0 defecit in the first 2:30 minutes of play before Jonathon Falko made a lay up to get Cecil College on the board and initiate their come-back. The Seahawks were able to regain the lead half way through the first quarter off a made lay up by Cornell Corbin from Jonathon Falko, and would only experience on remaining lead change before the end of the game. The Seahawks headed into halftime with a 16-point lead off a steal from Jordan Griggs and dish to Keyon Givens as time expired.

Cecil College was able to secure their victory with scoring contributions from eight Seahawks' players, including a career-high from Jonathon Falko and another 16 points from leading scorer Jordan Griggs. Falko shot 10-14 from the floor including 4-6 from beyond the arc while also adding four rebounds, three assists, one steal and a blocked shot.

Men's basketball returns to action on Friday, January 19 as they travel to Chesapeake College in search of their third straight victory. Tip off is set for 7:00 p.m.
