LARGO - Cecil baseball suffered a pair of defeats on Wednesday afternoon, dropping their record to 1-9 in the month of April.

Game One - Prince George's 11, Cecil 1 - Box Score

A walk-off balk put to bed a rough opening contest for the Seahawks. Cecil surrendured eight runs in the fifth to lose the contest via mercy rule.

The Seahawks offensive produced one run on three hits. A sac fly from Franko Riposo and Kevin Gamber's great baserunning scored Cecil's lone run in the second.

Hayden Kenney took the loss on the bump and moves to 1-2 on the year.

Game Two - Prince George's 14, Cecil 7 - Box Score

The Seahawks were unable to hold on to an early 7-1 lead in game two, giving up 13 runs over the final four frames to take their second loss of the day.

Cecil capitalized early on free passes from the Prince George's pitching staff, including three bases loaded walks in the third that plated as many runs. Justin Cordero's RBI-single scored Christian Crutch to begin the fourth and an error Couper Stala two batters later. Colin Brosh rounded out the inning with a base knock that scored two.

The Seahawks pitching staff struggled with control in the bottom of the frame, resulting in nine runs on three hits, three hit batters, and one walk. A sac fly scored the eventual winning run for the Owls before Matt Murdock (0-4) put out the fire.

Prince George's padded its lead with a four-run sixth, then sent the Seahawks packing in four batters to end the game.

Cordero and Brosh led the Seahawks with two hits each. Crutch end the contest with a double and stole three bags.
