NORTH EAST - Cecil College baseball rolled out the team's complete schedule for the 2024 season on Tuesday. The Seahawks will open up their campaign on Saturday, February 17 at 11 a.m. against Delaware Tech. This marks the sixth consecutive time the two programs will begin the year facing each other.  

Home Sweet Home

Including its home opener, Cecil begins the season with a 10-game home stand. Four games against SUNY Westchester will take place February 24-25, while Monroe-Bronx (Mar. 2) and Morris (Mar. 3) travel to North East the following weekend.

Region 20 Division 2 Schedule

14 doubleheaders and two single games make up a difficult Region 20 D2 schedule for the Seahawks. Cecil starts region play in Wye Mills, Maryland against Chesapeake on March 7.

The Seahawks remain on the road for meetings with Allegany (Mar. 16), CCBC-Catonsville (Mar. 21), and Montgomery (Mar. 23). All three teams finished inside the top four of the regular season region standings in 2023. Rounding out a difficult road slate is a visit to preseason No. 19 Frederick on April 9. The Cougars captured their third consecutive Region 20 D2 championship last May.

Mid-April visits from CCBC-Essex (April 13) and Anne Arundel (April 14) will go a long way in determining Cecil's place in the standings. The Knights finished as Region 20 tournament runner-up while Anne Arundel reached the semifinals.

Outside Tests

The Seahawks will test their mettle against Division 1 programs Harford (April 2) and Potomac State (Mar. 24 & April 27). Cecil also completes the away side of its home-and-home with Morris (Apr. 28), Mercer County (May 2) and Delaware Tech (May 4) to end the season.
