Seahawks Stifled by Catonsville

BALTIMORE, Md. - Cecil's offense was shut out for just the second time this season, falling 8-0 to the CCBC-Catonsville Cardinals on Tuesday.

Ironically, the Cardinals utlized starting pitcher named Cecil Barone to get the job done. The freshman right-hander went 8 2/3 innings and surrendured just a half-dozen hits to the Seahawks. Cecil put at least one runner into scoring position in six innings, but Barone and the Catonsville defense denied them each time.

Garrett Worthington did his part on offense, finishing 2-for-4 at the dish. Davis Jenkins registered Cecil's lone extra base hit via double in the second.

Cecil drops to 17-22 (5-8 in Region 20)
