Slaybaugh's Slam Walks Off Allegany

NORTH EAST, Md. - The Seahawks snagged a dramatic victory to start off Sunday, as Evan Slaybaugh's two-run homer walked off Allegany in game one.

Despite seven extra-base hits from Allegany, the Trojans trailed 8-7 entering the final frame. An RBI double tied the contest in the seventh, then the Trojans held off Cecil in the bottom of the inning to force extras.

Allegany punched through one more in eigth to begin extras, putting the pressure on Cecil to match. A walk and two stolen bases by Nate Ewing planted the tying run just 90 feet away. After the Trojans snagged a line drive to record the first out, Slaybaugh sliced a pitch over the left field wall to end the game.

Cecil propels itself to 16-21 (4-7 Region 20) with the victory.
