NORTH EAST, Md. - Cecil squared off with Region 20 Division I foe Harford, dropping both sides of a doubleheader to the Fighting Owls.

The Seahawks tumble to 10-17 (4-5 MD JUCO) after the two defeats.

Game One - Harford 11, Cecil 6 - Box Score

The Seahawks grabbed an early lead after Dylan Byler's two-run blast put Cecil ahead 2-0 in the first. Cecil's bats went silent over the next five frames, earning just one hit.

Harford countered with a strong third, scoring five runs to take the lead. A solo home run in the fourth, passed ball in the sixth, and a seventh-inning grand slam bumped their advantage to 11-2. 

Cecil's offense made a late push, plating four runs to pull within five on just one out. A flyout to right and a strikeout eventually killed the rally.

Byler finished with a Cecil's two extra-base hits, while Garrett Worthington grabbed a pair of singles. Rafael Solano (2-1) was pinned with his first loss of the year after six innings of work. 

Game Two - Harford 11, Cecil 0 - Box Score

A seven-run fifth catapulted the Fighting Owls to a mercy rule victory in the second game of the afternoon. Harford would utilize 10 extra-base knocks to get the job done, while a pair of arms limited Cecil's offense to five hits. 

Cecil's offense had its chances but wound up stranding 10 runners on base. The Seahawks loaded the bases with two outs in the third and fifth innings before being neutralized. Cecil also had runners on the corners with one out in the fourth, but a fielder's choice and strikeout extinguished the rally.

Lane Weismiller landed the Seahawks only extra-base knock, while four other Cecil batters notched one hit. On the mound, Jesus Ramos (1-2) took the loss.
