Game 1 - Westchester 12, Cecil 1 - Box Score

Despite a lopsided final score, the Seahawks fought hard before falling in game one.

Trailing 5-0, a Nate Ewing solo home run in the sixth spared Cecil a shutout loss to the Vikings. This seemingly put the Seahawks within striking distance, but Westchester plated seven in the seventh to put the game to bed.

Patrick O'Brien and Sael Flete collected the only other hits for Cecil. Jesus Ramos (1-1) gave up eight runs and struck out five in a losing performance.

Game 2 - Westchester 10, Cecil 7

The Seahawks came within a strike of picking up their second win of the season, but late heroics by the Vikings snagged the visitors a sweep of Cecil.

Garrett Worthington's solo blast to left set the tone early for Cecil in the bottom of the first. Nate Ewing followed him up with a double, then stole third to plant himself 90 feet away. Davis Jenkins rewarded him for his efforts with an RBI single to left for a 2-0 lead.

After a scoreless second frame, Westchester would crank out four runs in the third to take a 4-2 lead. Cecil managed to tie the game again via groundout and a wild pitch in the bottom third. Another zero-sum inning gave way to fireworks in the fifth, as Westchester's two-run top was met with a three-run homer by Pat O'Brien to plant the Seahawks ahead by one.

With a chance to close the game out in the seventh, Cecil would manage to sandwich two outs around a Westchester single. Back-to-back stolen bases, followed by a walk, put runners on the corners with just one out remaining. Down to their last strike, the Vikings found space through the left side of the infield with back-to-back RBI singles to take the lead. After a pitching change, two more runs would score before. the Seahawks put out the fire.

Cecil went down in order during the bottom seventh to drop the game.

Worthington and O'Brien combined for four of Cecil's seven hits and five of their RBI. Ryan Thompson, Davis Jenkins, and Ewing settled for one hit each.

Starter Vinnie Kershner was handed a no decision after going six strong innings. He struck out seven while allowing six unearned runs. Gehrig Harsh (0-1) was handed the loss.
