North East, MD - The Cecil baseball team saw it's season come to an end yesterday with a 10-8 loss to CCBC Essex in the first round of the Region XX tournament. With the loss the Seahawks finish the season 19-28. Joe Zirolli had a 2 run home-run to bring the Seahawks within 2 in the 9th, but they could not score again. With the loss the Seahawks say good-bye to 16 sophomores who played in their final game. Cecil College and the coaching staff would like to thank Zabdiel Parilla, Nick Gilley, DJ Sheckells, Christian Henderson, Cameron Ney, Collin McGeary, Heibert Romero, Joe Zirolli, Taggart Hess, Tyler Lasako, Zac Van Dyke, Richard Allen, Sam Deardorf, Wandy Brito, Nick Roepken, and Thomas Heenan for their efforts on and off the field. They wwill all be moving on to continue their education. We wish you well gentlemen.
