Griggs, Corbin, & Alexander, Named All-Region

Three members of the Cecil College men's basketball program were named to the NJCAA Region XX DII All-Region Team, as voted by the men's basketball committee. Sophomore guard Jordan Griggs was a All-Region First Team selection, followed by freshman guard Cornell Corbin being selected to the Second Team. Sophomore guard Greg Alexander received Honorable Mention recognition by the region. The Seahawks finished their season with a 15-18 overall record, a 6-3 record in Region XX DII, and as the NJCAA Region XX DII Runner-Up.

Jordan Griggs played in 32 games, starting 16 of them, in his first year as a Seahawk. Griggs finished the year with 472 points and 14.8 points per game, which landed him first on the team.

As a freshman, Cornell Corbin started all 32 contests and lead the team in the rebounds per game, assists per game, and steals per game categories. Corbin averaged 13.1 points per game and was an all-conference selection, was named to the conference all-tournament team, and named to the Region XX All-Tournament team.

Greg Alexander, a two-year standout for the Seahawks, finished the year as an all-conference selection and a member of the conference all-tourament team. Alexander ranked third on the team in points per game with 12.4 and scored 408 total points this season.
